Easton High School Principal Tom Jandreau has announced the honor parts for the class of 1995. Valedictorian is Shawn Corey, son of Mike and Donna Corey of Easton, and salutatorian is Kert Richardson, son of Keith and Esther Richardson, also of Easton.
Corey is president of the senior class, secretary of National Honor Society and treasurer of the student council. He also is a member of French Club and band, winning All-Aroostook honors for two years. He attended Dirigo Boys’ State and received the Maine Principal’s, WAGM In Pursuit of Excellence and Bausch and Lomb Honorary Science awards and was a National Merit commended scholar. He plans to study law at Indiana Wesleyan University.
Richardson was a member of French Club, band, the math team and National Honor Society. He also played varsity soccer and basketball. He was honored as Student of the Month, was the recipient of the WAGM In Pursuit of Excellence Award and was named to “Who’s Who in American High Schools.” He will attend Houghton College and study computer science.
First and second honor essayists are Lori Geroulo, daughter of Linda Geroulo of Easton, and Amy Hafford, daughter of Rick and Tisha Hafford of Easton.
Graduation ceremonies will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, June 9, at Easton High School.
