Graduation ’95> John Bapst Memorial High School, Bangor

At John Bapst Memorial High School in Bangor, Seth McClead was named valedictorian and Cristin L. O’Brien, salutatorian, of the class of 1995.

McClead is the son of Charles and Valerie McClead of East Holden. He was a member of National Honor Society, Drama and Environmental Action clubs and the stage band. He was a delegate to Dirigo Boys State, was a National Merit Commended Scholar and a semifinalist in the 1995 Presidential Scholars Program. He plans to study humanities at Bowdoin College.

O’Brien, daughter of James and Valerie O’Brien of Glenburn, was a National Merit Commended Scholar and was active in the Art Club, concert choir and drama productions. She was a member of the math team and school newspaper staff. She will attend the University of Maine and study studio art and biology.

Graduation exercises will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 4, in the auditorium.
