The True Value 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway may be the glamor event on the car racing circuit in Maine this weekend but there are plenty of other races also being held including a Quick 32 race at Winterport Dragway that will put $1,000 in the winner’s pocket.

This weekend’s card begins on Friday night when Scarborough’s Beech Ridge Motor Speedway will offer a full slate of racing including a 50-lap wildcat feature. Racing begins at 7:05.

Winterport Dragway and Hermon’s Speedway 95 will each have racing on both Saturday and Sunday. Time trials for the Quick 32 will begin on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Winterport Dragway and there will be a gamblers race at 3 p.m.

Time trials will begin again on Sunday at 9 a.m. with the Quick 32 slated for a 1 p.m. start. There will also be races for non-qualifiers and for motorcyles on Sunday. A monster truck will also be on hand.

Speedway 95 will have cards starting at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Extra lap series number two will be held on Saturday and bomber series race number three will go off on Sunday.

Unity Raceway will also have Saturday night racing with a wildcat 40-lap special being contested. The winner will pocket $200. There will also be a children’s big wheel race.
