Maine Maritime Academy soccer coach Bill Ashby has been named the state director of coaching for the United Soccer Federation of Maine. The 34-year-old Lubec native and University of Maine-Machias graduate will oversee the educational process for coaches and the licensing of coaches. Ashby will begin his fourth season as the coach at MMA after having spent the previous three years as head coach at Husson College in Bangor.
