BELFAST – The Old Town-Orono Twins hit four home runs in the first game, and Brooks Sturtevant drove in five runs in the second game as Old Town-Orono pounded host Waldo County 20-2 and 17-5 in American Legion action Saturday.
Chris Bagley pitched a three-hitter in game one, striking out six and walking four. Tim LePage and Jared Foster hit grand slams for Old Town-Orono, and John Montgomery added a two-run homer.
Matt Doaks singled twice for Waldo County.
In game two, Evan Stinson singled in two runs for the Twins, and Andy Trice hit an RBI double.
Wyatt Spencer’s hit a grand slam in the second for Waldo.

Bangor, Trenton split
At Ellsworth, the host Acadians beat Bangor 7-1 in the first game, but lost in the second 16-0.
In game one, Aaron Brown pitched a five-hitter for Trenton, striking out three and walking two. Dan Curtis drove in two runs, and Dave Marancik had an RBI single.
Scott Shaw posted two base hits for Bangor, and Tommy Waterman doubled.
Mark McEwen pitched a complete-game shutout in the second contest for Bangor with five hits, seven strikeouts and two walks.
T.J. True knocked a two-run triple, and Fred Moore had three more RBIs on two singles.
Trenton’s Seth Cole had two hits.

Brewer, Skowhegan split
At Skowhegan, Brewer lost the first game 9-6 but came back to win the second 12-2.
In game one, Luke Domarecki knocked in two runs on three base hits, and Howie Pike added two more with a single and a double to spark Skowhegan.
Jason Dority doubled and singled to drive in two runs for Brewer.
Mike Solovei hit a three-run homer and drove in four runs to lead Brewer in the second game and Mike Tardif singled twice.
Tiger Stewart pitched five innings and gave up one run on four hits, walking none to claim the win.
For Skowhegan, Joel Conkling hit an RBI single.

At Mahaney Diamond, Erik Murray struck out nine and walked one on his way to the victory.
Mark Reed had a single and a double, Matt Brown had two triples, Justin Shaw had a double and a triple, Mark Halstead had two singles and Jason Sharpe had two singles to pace the Canines.
Andy Boure and Jeff Fogg each had solo homers for the Double O’s.
