Recently you have had two articles on the Searport-to-Loring pipeline and the future of the same. The only thing the government owns is the pipe.
It has an easement from the land owners to maintain the line.
The landowners own the right-of-way and pay taxes on it.
Does Rep. John Baldacci plan to purchase the property from land owners, or take it by some legal procedure we have not heard of.
