The Bangor Police Department softball team went 5-0 last weekend while winning the Bob Innis Memorial Tournament in Kentville, Nova Scotia. Bangor beat Halifax, Nova Scotia, 2-1 in the title game.
Coach Paul Edwards said defense was the difference for the team that was led by pitcher Scott Roach and hitters Dennis Lally and Paul Hosmer. Bangor last won the tourney in 1984.
