PRESQUE ISLE — A Jehovah’s Witness Assembly was held last weekend at the Forum in Presque Isle, with about 2,000 people attending.

The theme of the assembly was “Listen and Learn to Carry Out God’s Word,” based on a scripture from Deuteronomy.

The speaker was Gene Barnett, a minister and traveling representative of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.

Assemblies are held twice a year in northern Maine. People may obtain further details on the place and time by contacting their local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
