University of Maine field hockey goalie Cindy Botett, Husson College striker Guy Guy Mpeye and UM-Presque Isle soccer sweeper Randy Gartley received honors from their respective conferences. Botett was the North Atlantic Conference’s Rookie of the Week for making 18 saves in 2-1 victories over Towson State and over Delaware in double overtime.

Mpeye was the Maine Athletic Conference’s Offensive Player of the Week as he notched four goals and two assists in a 2-1 week for the Braves. Gartley was the MAC’s Defensive Player of the Week for his sterling play in UMPI’s 4-0 win over St. Joseph’s last Saturday.
