NEWPORT – Allie Anderson’s unassisted first-half goal and Erin Cole-Karagory’s second-half goal, assisted by Anderson, enabled Caribou to defeat Nokomis of Newport 2-1 in schoolgirl soccer Wednesday afternoon.

Meaghan Lombard made nine saves on 11 shots for 7-3 Caribou.

Kate Burgess scored for 2-7 Nokomis off a Melissa Coppa pass and goalie Monica Kus stopped 15 of 19 shots.

JV: Caribou 2-1

SAHS 6, Woodland 1

At Woodland, Rachel Bishop’s three goals led the 7-1-2 Warrior scoring rout.

Kim Collier also had two goals and Suzanne Greenlaw added a goal to round out the Southern Aroostook scoring. Goalie Diana Goodall saved eight of the 10 Dragon shots she faced.

A Meredith Carle tally from Jessica Coutinho provided the only scoring for 4-3 Woodland as Gillian Foley rejected eight on 18 attempts.

Greenville 3, Lee 2 (OT)

At Greenville, Amanda Graham scored two goals, including the game-winner off a Chelsey Ryder pass with 1:18 left in overtime, to give the Lakers the victory.

Tiffany Wallingford scored the first goal for 10-0 Greenville on a Garnet Korsman assist eight minutes into the game. Graham followed with a goal on a Sarah Folsom assist. Goalie Sara Ward made three saves on six shots.

Katie Cormier scored an unassisted first-half goal for 0-8-1 Lee and Jenny Raymond scored the tying goal on a Leann Rideout pass one minute into the second half. Goalie Shannon Cole finished with 20 saves on 39 shots.

Dexter 1, Mt. View 1 (OT)

At Dexter, goalies Kim Breton and Leslie Clifford would not be outdone as their teams battled to a draw.

Breton helped her Tigers, saving 10 of the 13 shots she faced. Kim Gilbert scored at 16:32 in the first half to take a 1-0 lead.

Vanessa Wood tied the score 1-1 with 11:28 left as Leslie Clifford held on to preserve the tie with 17 saves on 26 Mustang attempts.

Camden-Rockport 1, MCI 0

At Pittsfield, Abbie Leonard’s goal at 15:30 of the first half was all the 4-4-2 Windjammers would need to hold off the 7-2-1 Huskies.

Leonard’s shot came off a direct kick just outside the penalty box. Goalie Darah Roberts stopped seven of the nine shots she faced.

For MCI, Jesse Brooks sent back eight of 12.

Searsport 4, PVHS 2

At Searsport, sisters Chandra Robert and Rosie Robert each notched a goal to help the Vikings win.

Jen Shaver and Jen Ellis each added a goal for the 6-3-1 winners. Shaver also notched an assist and goalie Jessie Barton made five saves on nine shots.

Megan Hutchinson and Jessica Potter each scored unassisted goals for 4-3-2 PVHS of Howland. Goalie Carrie Braley made five saves on 11 shots.

Field hockey

Foxcroft 1, Mattanawcook 0

At Dover-Foxcroft, Foxcroft inner Amy Smith sent a pass through a scramble to inner Becky Warren who scored the game’s only goal with three minutes left in the first half.

Goalie Hillary Steinke finished with three saves on five shots for the 5-4-1 winners.

For the 4-2-3 Lynx of Lincoln, goalie Casey Lowell made two saves on three shots.

JV: Foxcroft 1, Mattanawcook 0

Nokomis 0, John Bapst 0 (OT)

At Newport, John Bapst goalie Edythe Dyer made eight saves on 15 shots for the Crusaders to help them earn the tie. Two Nokomis shots hit the post.

Jenn Crudell made three saves on 10 shots for Nokomis.

Nokomis is now 5-2-2 and Bapst is 2-5-2.

Hampden 5, Bangor 1

At Hampden, Kristina Olson led the Broncos to their sixth win with two goals.

Jodi Cowan and Olivia Fitzpatrick each added a goal and an assist for 6-3 Hampden Academy. Carolyn Roderick had a goal and Emily Bartlett and Monica Arnold each had one assist. Amy Hafford and Heather Kinsella combined to stop three of four shots.

For 1-8 Bangor, Brooke Hayes prevented the shutout with an assist from Nicole Larson. Taryn McNichol and Julie Malmstrom combined for 15 saves on 24 shots.

JV: Hampden 1, Bangor 0
