UNITY – Drivers seeking the thrill of one last race before winter will make tracks for Unity Raceway for the seventh Long John 100 Sunday.
Late Model Sportsman and Pro-Stock drivers including Dick Belisle of North Vassalboro, Unity’s Stan Meserve, and Kenny Wright of Woolwich are expected to compete for the $2,000 winner’s purse in the day’s featured race.
Albion’s Steve Nelson and Matt Lee are pegged to be two of the front-runners, as Nelson could win his first Late Model Sportsman/Pro-Stock title since 1991.
Limited Sportsman, Charger, Sport Four, Super Street, and Wildcat divisions will hold feature races only in the 2 p.m. show.
