University of Maine sophomore right wing Shawn Wansborough was named the Hockey East Player of the Week and defenseman Brett Clark was the Co-Rookie of the Week. Wansborough had five goals, including his first career hat trick, and an assist in a pair of weekend wins over Merrimack.

University of Maine sophomore right wing Shawn Wansborough was named the Hockey East Player of the Week and defenseman Brett Clark was the Co-Rookie of the Week. Wansborough had five goals, including his first career hat trick, and an assist in a pair of weekend wins over Merrimack. Clark scored a goal and made three assists during the week. Clark shared rookie honors with Boston College center Marty Reasoner who had two goals and two assists in a split with UMass-Lowell.
