WASHBURN – Courtney Flewelling hit two free throws with 20 seconds left in overtime to give the Washburn Beavers a 50-49 victory over the Wisdom Pioneers in schoolgirl basketball action Saturday night.

Amanda Skidgel scored 18 and pulled down 22 rebounds to lead Washburn. Shannon Henthorn and Flewelling each had 13.

Tracy Guerrette scored a game-high 25 for Wisdom of St. Agatha. with 25 points.

At North Haven, senior guard Bud Shain capped a high-scoring weekend with 30 points to power the Vikings of Danforth to victory.

On Friday, Shain poured in 40 points in East Grand’s 91-76 win over North Haven.
