On Price’s team

We feel the letter on Gabby Price (“Great coaches,” BDN, Dec. 11) should have been titled, “Great people.” While Gabby may be the best coach in Maine, above all and foremost, he’s a tremendous person.

For as long as we’ve known Coach Price he’s always said to his players, “You don’t know how much you mean to other people.” Whether he was referring to family, friends, fans, coaches, former players or kids aspiring to be Bangor athletes someday, he’s always wanted them to know how much they mean to everyone.

We hope that after his recent events and letter that he can now understand just how much he means to everyone. Smug? No. Humble? Yes. Thanks for everything you’ve done for us, coach. Chris Binder John Tennett for current and former Bangor High School football players.
