Now that the Muddy Rudder Restaurant has decided not to come to Bangor, even though the city was going to give it the world (and to let us taxpayers pay for it), we are faced again with what to do with (the waterworks) property. Instead of looking for a new business to take over that area, which would take business away from the businesses already established here, why not do something with it to bring more peole into the area? Bring in what, you say? How about the city floating the tax bond to raise enough money to build a Stephen King museum?

Paul Bunyan is not Bangor’s No. 1 attraction, it is King, and where is he from? So let’s build the museum. People would fly and drive in from all over to see this, before they head to Bar Harbor.

As one of our great governors would say, “think about it!” James Vardamis Bangor
