GLENBURN — A Dover-Foxcroft man escaped injury Monday in a single-vehicle accident on Route 15 in Glenburn.

Joey Brown, 30, was traveling south on Route 15 in Glenburn when he swerved to avoid an unidentified animal and struck a utility pole at 7 a.m., said Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Troy Morton.

Morton estimated damage to Brown’s 1986 two-door Mercury sedan between $2,000 and $3,000.
