SUGARLOAF – Jakub Fiala has a hold on first place after day one of the Eastern Federation International de Ski Race. Fiala beat second-place finisher Joshua Applegate by nearly a second and Kevin Stell was third.

Day two of the F.I.S. Super G will take place today. Carrabassett Valley Academy paced two racers in the top 10, including fourth-place finisher Jeffrey Ippolito and Joshua Pike, 10th.
