MILO – Jake Estes scored 18 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead the host Penquis Valley Patriots to a 50-40 schoolboy basketball victory over Lee Academy on Wednesday.

Brian Heal tossed in 15 and Chris Cowing chipped in 12 for as the Patriots solved the Panda’s slow-down offense.

George Bunker led the Pandas with 15 points.

At St. Agatha, Craig Thibeault’s 13 points and 10 apiece from Robbie Lavoie and Matt Deschaine led a balanced attack that carried Wisdom past Limestone.

Limestone rallied from a 12-point deficit in the second half to cut the lead to four but that’s as close as the Eagles could get.

Curtis Coachman’s game-high 17 points led Limestone.
