FORT KENT – Rick Sinclair scored 56 points over the weekend to pace the Husson College men’s basketball team to wins over the University of Maine-Presque Isle and UM-Fort Kent.

At Fort Kent on Sunday, Sinclair netted 34 points to lead the Braves to a 78-61 win over the Bengals.

Brian Alley, Brian Jefferson and Sean Foye tossed in 10 points each for Husson.

Scott Richardson paced UM-Fort Kent with 15 points. Anthony Jarrett and Arthur Jarrett had 13 and and 11 points, respectively, while Neptune Cardona notched 10.

At Presque Isle on Saturday, Sinclair hit a three-pointer with 30 seconds left in the game to give the Braves the lead, and Brian Jefferson hit four of four from the foul line to ice the game in the final seconds as Husson won, 82-78.

Sinclair finished with 22 points, Jefferson netted 19, Chris Funk scored 17, and Mike McCaffery chipped in 10 for the winners.

Pierre Michaud had a game-high 23 points to lead the Owls. Willie Rivera tossed in 18 points and Matt Casavant added 13.
