PORTLAND – Derek Vogel scored 20 of his game-high 34 points in the first half as Westbrook built a 13-point lead and cruised to the 107-93 men’s basketball win against Husson College Wednesday night.
Vogel is Maine’s all-time college scoring leader.
Bob Davies added 19 points and Chris McKenny 15 for Westbrook, which led by as many as 34 in the second half. Nate Esty chipped in with 10.
The Wildcats hit 13 3-pointers.
Rick Sinclair paced Husson with 26 points. Brian Alley and Bryan Jefferson added 20 and 18 points, respectively, for the Braves and Chris Cameron contributed 10.
