BANGOR – Many prominent women in sports will be featured at the Bangor Athletic Club today when it celebrates National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
The event will be from 2-3:30 p.m. at BAC on 185 Harlow Street.
Those attending will have the opportunity to talk to such guests as University of Maine women’s basketball coach Joanne Palombo-McCallie, UM standout basketball player Cindy Blodgett, and Bangor author Tabitha King.
Other local athletes will be featured along with teachers, city officials and administrators.
