ELLSWORTH — Maine Shellfish Co. has been chosen to receive the Partner in Health and Wellness Award from Maine Coast Memorial Hospital.

James Marcus Jr., company president, said that a healthy employee is better able to contribute to the company and its customers. Maine Shellfish’s safety and injury program, back-to-work light duty program, and occupational health program were among the areas cited by MCMH in making the award.
