LIMESTONE – Josh Dillon struck out 11 Washburn batters on his way to a one-hitter as Limestone topped the Beavers 8-2 in schoolboy baseball action Thursday.
Tim Beaulieu had a single and a double, Ian Hall hit two singles, and Mike Myers added a double for the winners.
Trent Cunningham had the lone single for the Beavers.

At Dyer Brook, the Warriors combined some timely hitting with 11 East Grand walks and two hit batsmen to earn the five-inning win on the 12-run rule.
Jason Porter rapped two singles and two RBIs for Southern Aroostook while Matt McGary had a double and drove in a run. Starting pitcher Chris Webb struck out six in his three-inning stint. Sam Michaud and Todd Collier added an inning of hitless relief each.

At Eastport, Ethan Bagley tossed a four-hitter while striking out seven to give the Bulldogs their first win.

Mike Raye singled twice for Shead and Chris Kilby doubled.

At Fort Farfield, the Tigers scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to give pitcher Joseph Solomon the win.
Solomon struck out nine Warrior batters and helped his own cause with a triple and two singles. Jacques Boulier rapped two singles and drove in a run and Jonathan Nichols added an RBI single for the winners.
Lucas Levesque hit two singles and Chad Caron knocked in a run for Fort Kent.

At Lee, Jason Heal drilled a double to left center field in the bottom of the sixth to drive in two runs and cap the Lee Academy rally.

Mike Harris went the distance for Penquis of Milo, striking out nine and allowing just one earned run. He helped his cause with a double and a single. Jeff Hoyle added a pair of singles.

At Orono, catcher Jeremy Poulin belted a two-out bases loaded double in the bottom of the fifth inning to give the Riots the win over Stearns of Millinocket.
Mike Perry picked up the win striking out 11 Minutemen batters. Perry helped himself with an RBI single and Tom Hite added three singles.
For Stearns, Brian Johnson hit a solo home run and a double for two RBIs and Steve Osborne had a single and a double.

At Newport, Ben Preston and Derek Dubois each had a single and a double to lead the Broncos to the win.
Preston also knocked in two runs as pitcher Dustin Campbell went the distance, striking out nine and walking two. Danny Leadbetter ripped two singles and two doubles to drive in three runs for Nokomis. Jason Hewitt added two singles.
