ASHLAND – Courtney Junkins’ double to left center with two outs in the bottom of the eighth delivered Erin Soucy with the winning run as Ashland edged Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook 7-6 Tuesday.

Winning pitcher Alicia Nason’s run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth keyed a three-run rally that tied the game. Kim Collier’s RBI double sparked a three-run Southern Aroostook rally in the top of the sixth.

Nason, who pitched an eight-hitter with seven strikeouts and two walks, drove in three runs with two doubles. Renee Saucier had three singles for the winners.

Collier had a double and a single for the Warriors and Kristen Swallow singled twice.

At Madawaska, Michele Dufour struck out five and gave up only two hits as the Owls posted the win in six innings.

Michele Hebert led the offense with a double, single and three RBIs. Danielle Levesque, Nicole Soucy and Dufour had two singles each.

Kristi Cannon doubled and Colleen Dennis singled to pace the Eagles.

Calais 13, Houlton 1 (5 inn.)

At Houlton, Kelly Dow spun a one-hitter and Heather Farrell belted a pair of two-run homers and a single to lead Calais past Houlton.

Dow struck out seven and walked one.

Sarah Currier went 4-for-4 with four singles and scored four times; Jessica Crossman homered and tripled and drove in two runs and Katie MacMannis doubled and singled.

Erica Hiscoe’s fifth-inning single was the only hit off Dow.

At Woodland, Rachel Wearne scattered five hits and one walk over seven innings to help Woodland even its record.

Kristina Kelley hit three singles and a two-run double to lead the Tigers’ 11-hit attack. Megan Tourtillotte rapped four singles and Jillian Foley hit three singles.

At Searsport, Sarah Webster pitched a seven-hitter with 13 strikeouts to lead unbeaten Searsport to the win.

Webster also did it at the plate with two singles and three RBIs. Kara Webster added two singles and two RBIs and Jodi Larrabee stroked a two-run double.

For Jonesport-Beals, Jan Beal doubled and tripled.

At Belfast, Sami Hibbard struck out six and the Windjammers’ offense scored in every inning on the way to the win.

Jody Pease led the offense with two singles and a solo home run. Marissa Anderson and Nellie Peck singled twice while Heather Hopkins rapped a two-run triple.

Belfast was led by Liz Kelley’s single, double and four RBIs.

At Ashland, the Warriors of Dyer Brook scored four unearned runs in the fifth inning then hung on for the victory.

The Hornets scored four runs in the final three innings, but stranded eight runners on base.

Nick Russell led the Warriors with two singles and two RBIs. Todd Collier singled and doubled while Sam Michaud doubled for the winners.

Chad Cyr and Lee Bennett each singled twice for the Hornets.

At Madawaska, Ben Cyr rode home from third on Ryan Cyr’s single in the bottom of the sixth to give the Owls the win.

Seth Fernald hit two triples, a single and drove in two runs for Limestone.

At Houlton, Bill Fletcher socked a two-out single that drove in the go-ahead run for the Blue Devils.

At Woodland, Tony Robb ripped a double and two singles, driving in two runs, to key the Dragons past the Tigers in a game decided on the 12-run rule.

Matt Benson added a double and a single for three RBIs, while Ryan Thornton had a triple and four RBIs and Randy Mercier rapped two singles and knocked in three runs.

John Barnes had the lone hit for Shead of Eastport.

At Searsport, Shannon Crowley earned the win on the hill and stroked a pair of singles to help his own cause as the Royals downed Searsport.

At Newport, Josh Lizzotte keyed a first-inning uprising for Old Town with a three-run single as the Indians won a home game played on the road due construction being done on their own field.

John Powers added three singles and scored a run for Old Town.

At Oakland, Greely of Cumberland Center scored four unanswered second-half goals to beat Messalonskee.

Neill Grant scored two goals for the Rangers, while Dave Ott, Ben Parker, Jason Stuart and Tom Strattard netted one goal apiece. Tom Golebiewski made 16 saves for 3-2 Greely.

Shawn Bard paced the 1-3 Eagles with two goals and an assist. Ben Pierce scored the other goal and Mike Fulling added an assist. Pete Pelletier made 14 saves.
