CALAIS – Adam Knight recorded a strikeout with runners on first and third and two outs in the seventh inning Wednesday as Narraguagus of Harrington held on for an 8-7 baseball victory over Calais.

Robbie Worcester’s solo home run leading off the seventh inning gave the Knights the cushion they needed.

In the Calais seventh, Jason Redding walked and, after a second walk, scored on Joey Craig’s single. Craig later scored on a passed ball.

Worcester and Meyer each hit two singles and Mike Worcester had a two-run single in the first inning.

Craig had two singles and three RBIs, while Redding added two hits and an RBI.

At Dyer Brook, Chris Webb hit a home run and double to drive in three runs and lead Southern Aroostook to the win.

Webb also led the Warriors from the mound, giving up seven hits.

Jason Porter slammed two doubles while Matt McGary, Todd Collier and Marc Philibert each had a single and a double.

For Central Aroostook of Mars Hill, Ben Allen and Rob Bell each had a single and a double. Chad Boyd singled twice.

At Machias, Andrew Feeney knocked in three runs with a single and the Bulldogs scored eight runs in the second inning while beating the Royals.

Bob Berg and Tom Frutchy each provided a single and two RBIs for Machias. Ethan Bagley survived a six-run first and went the distance, striking out 10 and walking two.

Jason Mawson had a double and a single good for two RBIs to pace Jonesport-Beals. Byron Carver singled twice.

At St. Agatha, the Pioneers scored five runs in the first and held off the Hornets.

Chad Cyr doubled, singled and drove in a run for Ashland. Tim Tardie added an RBI single.

At Lubec, the Tigers of Eastport scored six runs in both the third and fifth innings as they rolled over the Hornets.

Willy Suddy had two singles and three RBIs, while Jesse McPhail had a single, double and three RBIs in the five-inning game.

At Woodland, pitcher Randy Mercier spun a three-hitter to give the Dragons the victory.

Mercier sent down 12 Raider batters and allowed three walks for the win. He helped his own cause, ripping two doubles and a single (three RBIs) for the winners. Jeremy Phelps added a double and a single.

Josh Ramsdell and Jim Albert had a double each to pace Washington Academy of East Machias.

At Limestone, Ricky Nadeau belted a a two-run home run and a two-run single to lift the Owls past the Eagles.

Ben Cyr rapped a double and a single and Ryan Cyr added a triple for Madawaska.

Mike Myers ripped a solo home run to pace Limestone and Jimmy West added a double.

At Van Buren, Ben LaPlante and Ben Smith smashed two-run homers to key a nine-run fourth inning as the Crusaders earned the five-inning victory.

LaPlante added a double and a suicide squeeze for five RBIs. Smith also singled. Cory Searles doubled twice and hurled an abbreviated three-hittter.

Jacques Beaulieu rapped an RBI single for Fort Fairfield.

At Deer Isle, Jason Soule launched a two-out, three-run home run in the fifth inning to power the Tigers to the win.

Sumner scored all five runs in the fifth. Chris Carter gave up four hits and struck out six. Pat Ford and Willy Seward notched the other hits for Sumner.

Deer Isle-Stonington’s Ben Barrows gave up only three hits while striking out eight. Stephen Bye tripled and Josh Weed had a solo homer in the sixth to pace the Mariners.

At Millinocket, Tim Elrich and Mike Perry each had two singles to help the Red Riots edge the Minutemen.

Eric Giberson and Mike Kimball both singled and Colby Sturtevant doubled for Schenck.

At Milo, sophomore pitcher Heath Reeves went the distance, striking out four and allowing three walks, as Penquis won.

Levi LeDuc plated four runs on a triple and a single for Penquis of Milo. Mark Dell’olio chipped in two singles for the winners.

Ryan Osgood ripped two singles and Jason Noble and Derrick Dicker each had a double and a single to pace the Pandas.

At Hampden, Jared Foster pitched four innings of three-hit, one-run relief and Josh Lizzotte stroked a two-run single in a four-run sixth inning as Old Town beat Hampden Academy.

Foster, who struck out three, relieved Steve Goslin and pitched out of a two-on, nobody-out jam in the fourth. John Powers had two hits and two RBIs, Sean Dickey a two-run single, and Bryan Goody a solo homer for the Indians.

Rob King singled twice for the Broncos, who received RBI doubles from Ben Preston and Mike McInnis.

At Blue Hill, the Eagles scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning to earn the schoolboy victory over the Vikings.

Rich Lebel belted a two-run home run, Chris Pickering blasted a solo home run, and Derek Torrey rapped two singles and a double to power George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill.

George Tripp ripped a solo home run to lead Searsport and Dustin Nadeau added two singles.
