MADAWASKA – Jason Nadeau stroked a bases loaded single in the top of the seventh inning to plate the winning run as Fort Kent defeated Madawaska 12-11.

Ethan Chabora led the Fort Kent attack with three singles and three RBIs. Nadeau notched two singles and Eric Raymond had a double and two RBIs.

Eddie Marshall led Madawaska with three singles and four RBIs. Ben Cyr had three singles and Steve Ayotte added two more for the Owls.

At Limestone, Keith Michaud’s sixth-inning single drove in the Pioneers’ winning run as part of a five-run inning that completed their comeback.

Michaud led Wisdom of St. Agatha with two singles, a double, a triple and two RBIs. Craig Thibeault added two singles, a double and drove in a run, and Jeff Michaud blasted a solo home run. Eric Soucy had two singles and an RBI, and Andy Soucy had a two-run double.

Ian Hall cranked a two-run home run in the first inning when Limestone took a 4-0 lead, and Mike Myers had a solo homer in the sixth.

At Hodgdon, Darren Stewart held the Shiretowners to four hits while striking out nine and not walking a batter to gain the victory.

Evan Clark singled twice and doubled for the winners and Jeremy Ireland slammed an RBI triple.

Lucas Ritchie scattered seven hits for Houlton while striking out six.

Katahdin 14, Ashland 2

At Sherman Station, Josh Lyons, Richard Schmidt and Nick Jilek all hit homers as Katahdin rolled over Ashland in five innings.

Nate Richardson hit a single and a double, Lyons added a single and a double to his homer while Schmidt and Jilek each had three-run shots. Nick McNally had five strikeouts in grabbing the win.

Charlie Robinson had a single and two RBIs for Ashland.

Machias sweeps BC

At Machias, the Bulldogs pounded out 30 hits in two games on the way to a doubleheader sweep of Bangor Christian, 8-1 and 15-6.

In the first game, the Bulldogs received a four-hitter from junior pitcher Josh Look, who struck out five and walked four.

Justin Hayward and M.J. Lenfestey provided the offense with four and three singles, respectively, and they combined for five RBIs with Lenfestey notching three.

For Bangor Christian, Gabe Perrow hit two singles.

In the second game, Bobby Stevens drove in six runs with a grand slam and two singles.

Lenfestey and Hayward added a single and a double each for the Bulldogs while Cook hit three singles.

At Hampden, the Wildcats accumulated 32 hits in a 10-5 and 22-14 doubleheader sweep of Hampden.

Chad Graham’s RBI single turned the tide for Presque Isle in game one, and he finished with two singles. John McGlinn lead the Wildcats hitters with two singles and three RBIs, and Colin White stroked a two-run single.

Shane McDougal led Hampden with two singles and two RBIs.

Matt Allen provided the Wildcats’ fireworks in game two with two home runs and five RBIs, and McGlinn added four runs with a single and home run. Tim Beldon knocked out two doubles, two singles and one RBI, and White had three singles, two doubles and one RBI.

Ben Preston crushed a three-run home run for Hampden, and Rob King contributed two singles and one RBI. McDougal singled twice, doubled, and drove in three runs, and Matt Gilbert singled twice.

At Winslow, three players from Winslow had doubles as the Black Raiders improved to 11-2.

Joel Fernald, Erik Gunning and Don Couture each stroked a double and Couture added two singles, going 3-for-3. Seth Carter added a single and improved to 2-0 on the mound as he struck out eight for Winslow.

Mike Tolman had two singles and Luke Knight knocked a double for Rockland.

At Millinocket, John Montgomery pitched a four-hitter and struck out nine to lead Stearns to the win.

At Lincoln, Derek Dicker kocked in four runs with a home run and a double to lead the Lee Academy Pandas to the victory.

For Mattanawcook Academy of Lincoln, Nicholas Potts had two singles, a double and two RBIs. The Lynx were plagued by 10 errors.
