PORTLAND — A body found floating near a dock along the waterfront here has been identified as that of a 45-year-old Portland man, the state Medical Examiner’s Office said Tuesday.
An autopsy revealed that Mark Foster had drowned, a spokeswoman said. There was no indication of foul play.
Fishermen found Foster’s badly decomposed body floating face-down at Merrill’s Marine Terminal about 9 a.m. Monday, said Portland police Lt. Steve Plympton.
Foster was reported missing in April by the Shalom House, a Portland halfway house for the mentally ill where he had been staying, Plympton said.
