BANGOR – Mike Viricel’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh scored Mike Brockett and capped a seven-run inning for John Bapst on route to a 15-14 win over Ellsworth.

Keith Freeman singled twice, doubled and drove in three runs, Joel Perry singled three times and Jeff Millard and Brockett each singled twice.

Jay Nyby led Ellsworth with two singles and a double, Matt McDonald hit three singles and Torrey McDonald singled twice.

At Sherman Station, Josh Lyons hit a two-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Katahdin Cougars rallied for the win.

Nate Richardson, Sam Shippee and Lyons each hit two singles to pace Katahdin.

For Lee, Jason Noble hit two singles. Hard-luck loser Erik Worster went the distance and struck out eight.

At Greenville, Dustin Littlefield ripped a double and two singles driving in four runs to lead the Upper Kennebec Valley Cavaliers of Bingham to victory.

Darren Henderson added three singles for the winners.

Rance McEachern singled three times and Kevin Carter had a double and a single for Greenville.

At East Corinth, Wes Sands’ solo homer and Nick Day’s two-run single sparked a five-run third inning rally that erased a 6-3 deficit and gave the Ponies the lead for good.

Day had three singles and two RBIs, Jared Clawson doubled and singled and drove in one run and Mike Saunders had a pair of base hits for Foxcroft.

Dan Levesque overcame a shaky first inning to notch the complete-game win.

Justin Bragdon had a pair of doubles and a single for Central and drove in a run. Brik Brickett added a two-run double.

At Bucksport, John Beck keyed a six-run third inning with a two-run single that helpped Bucksport’s win.

Pat Mosley hit a double and a single while Jerry Burns and Aaron Brown each singled twice for Mount Desert Island.

At East Machias, Jim Albert cranked a grand slam to highlight a six-run sixth inning as Washington Academy rallied past the Eagles of Blue Hill.

Three other players also hit homers for the winners as Brandon Ashby had a two-run blast and Josh Ramsdell and Mike Fergerson each had solo shots. Ramsdell and Ashby chipped in with a double apiece.

Kevin Neal slammed a two-run homer and singled twice for GSA. Rick Lebel added a double, two singles and two RBIs and Tim Pert doubled and singled.

At Bangor, Darren Stover gave up three hits, struck out nine and walked three to earn the win for Bangor.

Mike Pelkey had two doubles and Tim Patchell had two singles for the Rams.

John Powers, Josh Lizzotte and Jerry Miller all had base hits for Old Town.

Houlton 4, Fort Fairfield 3

At Fort Fairfield, Nick Howe’s two-run double with one out in the seventh inning rallied Houlton past Fort Fairfield. Howe drove in Mike Weston and Lucas Ritchie, who had each singled.

Weston came on to preserve the win for starter Andy Wright by inducing two pop-ups with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh.

Jeff Sewell had three singles and an RBI for the winners. Howe had a single to go with his double and Weston singled twice.

Graham Sayers and Jon Nichols had two hits and an RBI apiece for Fort Fairfield. Sayers had a triple.

At Machias, Justin Hayward hit a bases-loaded grounder to third base in the bottom of the seventh inning driving in Eric Buck with the winning run for the Bulldogs of Machias.

Josh Look paced the Bulldogs with four singles and three RBIs while M.J. Lenfestey belted a grand slam and a single. David Kilton also homered for the Bulldogs and Tom Frutchey hit two singles.

For Shead of Eastport, Chris Kilby socked a two-run homer while Willie Suddy and Jacob Mumme hit two singles each.
