Terrill leads Orono to win

ORONO – Barry Terrill pounded a bases-loaded double in the bottom of the sixth inning to give Orono an 8-7 schoolboy baseball victory against Foxcroft Academy Friday.

Terrill added a single for the winners and Peter Munn also ripped a double, a single, and two RBIs.

Dan Levesque blasted a three-run double to lead the Ponies.

At Millinocket, Greg Gobel singled three times to power the Bucks.

Buzz Simpson added a double and a single for the winners.

Tigers sweep Patriots

At Bangor, the Forest Hills Tigers of Jackman posted 6-3 and 16-0 victories over Bangor Christian.

In game one, Eric Hall slashed a two-out, two-run single that sealed the win. Rocky Achey singled twice and Pat Forgue and Forrest Chamberlain each doubled. Pat Forgue registered seven stikeouts in the win.

Alan Sage notched three singles while Ryan Mick struck out nine in a losing effort.

In game two, Dave Schoenmann ripped three singles, a double and scored three runs for the Tigers.

Forgue and Ryan Begin each had a single and double. Forgue added a triple.

Mick led the Patriots with a single and a double.

At East Corinth, Nick Potts had three singles to lead the Lynx of Lincoln to the win.

Tony Aldrete had two singles and two RBIs and Bub Severance got the win.

Ed Houston drove in two runs with a double for Central.

John Bapst 15, Dexter 3

At Husson College in Bangor, Scott Tremble pounded two doubles, a single and six RBIs as the Crusaders took the victory.

Adam Zaitz ripped two singles and a double for John Bapst.

Kenny Welch and Travis Carr had two singles apiece to lead Dexter.

Searsport 15, Penquis 2

At Searsport, Ryan DeRedin struck out 10 and walked three to notch the five-hit win for the Vikings.

DeRedin also doubled, singled twice, and drove in two runs for Searsport. George Tripp added two doubles and four RBIs, and Nate Hall drove in three runs with a double and single. Dustin Nadeau stroked a double, single and two RBIs.

At Winslow, Seth Carter smacked a two-run homer, doubled and drove in four runs to lead Winslow to the win.

Mark Gunning hit two doubles and two singles while Erik Gunning had three singles for the Black Radiers.

Spencer Wyatt drove in a run with a single for Mount View of Thorndike.

At Belfast, the Lions put up four runs in the bottom of the second inning to capture the win.

Chad Larrabee plated two runs on three singles for the winners.

Joah Peck drove in the lone Windjammer run on a double as Eric Rist chipped in two singles.

At Blue Hill, Chris Pickering launched two solo home runs to power the Eagles, who had four.

Kevin Neal and Seth Cole had the other long balls for George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill.

Justin Perry blasted a solo home run and a single to pace Hermon. Jeremy Chambers also belted a solo home run and Adam Hunt added a double and a single.

At Hampden, Ben Preston blasted a three-run home run and two singles to power the Bronco attack.

Derek Dubois ripped three RBIs on three singles as pitcher Matt Gilbert picked up the win striking out eight and walking two.

Bryan Goody had a two-run single and Jon Thomas added two singles for the Indians.
