MADAWASKA — Timothy J. Cyr, a 17-year-old Boy Scout from Madawaska, has attained the rank of Eagle Scout.
Cyr, in scouting since he joined the Tiger Cubs in 1987, acquired Cub Scouting’s highest rank, Arrow of Light, in 1989. He is a member of the Boy Scout Order of the Arrow.
During his scouting years, Cyr acquired the Parvuli Dei, Ad Altare Dei and Pope Pius religious awards.
Cyr completed 22 merit badges among the requirements to earn the Eagle Scout rank. His Eagle Scout project was cleaning and clearing a section of riverbank on the St. John River near Madawaska’s Acadian Cross landing site.
He is the son of James and Angela Cyr.
