ELLSWORTH – The Trenton Acadians scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning en route to an 8-4 American Legion baseball victory over the Brewer Falcons Thursday.
Seth Cole paced Trenton with a double, a single and an RBI. Tim Pert hit an RBI single and Robbie Worcester drove in two runs.
For Brewer, Chris Knickerbocker doubled and singled. Jody Peak and Greg Gobel each hit two singles.

At Calais, Jeremy Poulin’s two-run homer in the top of the eighth inning broke a 4-4 tie and the Twins held on for the win.
Steve Osborne led the Twins with a double and a two-run home run. John McGlinn added two singles and a double.
For Calais, M.J. Lenfestey hit two singles and a double.
Josh Thornton chipped in with a double and a single and Ryan Thornton hit two singles.

At Searsport, Nate Hall fashioned a two-hitter to lead Waldo County to the victory.
Chris Maheaux paced Waldo County with a three-run homer and a single. George Tripp hit two singles and a solo blast while Joah Peck and Matt Economy added three and two singles, respectively.
Hall struck out five and walked four.
For Skowhegan, Mark Wheaton belted a three-run double in the second inning to make it 3-3. , but the Logdrivers would get no closer.

Molunkus sweeps Downeast
At Mahaney Diamond in Oron, Molunkus catcher Randy Harris hit a sacrifice fly to score Aaron Knowles and snap a 7-7 tie in the bottom of the sixth inning as the Travelers beat Downeast 8-7 in the first game of an Eastern Maine Amateur Baseball League doubleheader sweep on Thursday.
In the first game, Knowles hit a two-run homer and a double for Molunkus. Jay Haywood cracked three singles.
For Downeast, Nate Martell had a double, a single and two RBIs. Peter Kenney hit two singles.
In the second game, Brent Brown entered the game with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the sixth and retired five straight batters to hold off Downeast.
Brown struck out three during his stint.
Frank Peckham rapped two doubles, a single and drove in three runs for the winners, while Charlie Hite had two doubles and a single. Ed Harris and Knowles added two singles apiece, while Randy Harris knocked in two runs with a double and a sacrfice fly.
Martel drove in four runs with three singles for Downeast. Mike Solovei added three singles and Bain Pollard had a double and a single.
