Jacksonville Methodist Camp to be in session

JACKSONVILLE — The Jacksonville Methodist Camp meeting will be in session July 25 through Aug. 4 at the campground off Route 9.

Evening services of instrumental music will be held from 6:45 p.m. to 7:10 p.m. with Winona Small on piano and Rev. Clark Osborn on organ.

Song leader Gary Look will conduct a hymn sing from 7:10 p.m. 7:30 p.m.

Preaching will be evangelist Ed Kalish. Following evening services, a fellowship with refreshments will be held in the dining hall.

Morning worship will be conducted by the Rev. Vicky L. Woods, district superintendent of the Northern District of the New England Conference, at 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 28. A turkey dinner will be served in the dining room at noon, followed by worship and praise in song led by Gary Look at 2:30 p.m. A coffee fellowship will follow the service. A song and worship service will be held at 6:45 p.m.

The Family Day Celebration will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at the tabernacle. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Pat Thompson of the Grant Memorial Methodist Church in Presque Isle. A Silver Tea will be held in the dining room at 3 p.m. along with a food, crafts, arts and white elephant sale, presented by members of the Susannah Wesley Guild.

Evangelist “Doc” Uber, pastor of the Howland United Methodist Church, will conduct the Aug. 3 service that will begin with an instrumental music program starting at 6:45 p.m.

The Rev. John Morgans, pastor of the United Methodist charge of Jacksonville, Lubec and Cutler, will preach during the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, Aug. 4. At noon, the Susannah Wesley Guild will serve a turkey dinner.

The 2:30 p.m. Homecoming service will feature the Rev. Clark Osborn and the Orange River Band, followed by a coffee and fellowship meeting in the dining hall.
