HOULTON – The Pipers emerged as the Maine ASA Masters Slowpitch champions with a 6-0 stretch through this weekend’s tournament.

The Ellsworth team knocked off Northern Connection of Houlton, Bulldogs of Bridgewater, J.R. Maxwells from Bath, The County Boys from Caribou-New Sweden, and had to beat the Maxwells 19-8 for the title.

The County Boys finished third in the double-elimination tournament.
