PORTLAND – Carlos Tosca of the Portland Sea Dogs has been named Manager of the Year in the Eastern League in a vote by the league’s 10 managers, official scorers, and members of the media.
Tosca has guided the Sea Dogs to a 77-53 record so far this season, good for first place in the Northern Division.
Pitcher Tony Saunders, center fielder Todd Dunwoody, and second basemen Luis Castillo were also named to the Eastern League all-star team.
