PORTLAND – Vladimir Guererro doubled, homered and drove in three runs and Brad Fullmer knocked a two-run homer to lead the Harrisburg Senators past the Portland Sea Dogs 6-1 Wednesday and capture the Eastern League Championship.

Jason McCommon struck out seven and scattered eight hits for one run over 6 1/3 innings for the win, which gave the Senators a 3-1 victory in the best-of-five series.

The Senators made it 1-0 in the first on Guerrero’s RBI double.

Fullmer’s homer, with Jose Vidro aboard, made it 3-0 in the third. Vidro doubled home the Senators’ fourth run in the fifth.

Lionel Hastings’ posted Portland’s only run with a solo homer in the sixth.

Guerrero’s eighth-inning homer scored Vidro ahead of him and closed out the Senators’ scoring.

Portland starter Will Cunnane took the loss.
