BOSTON — Boston Pops conductor Keith Lockhart and Boston Symphony Orchestra violinist Lucia Lin were married Sunday at Lockhart’s home in northern Maine, according to published reports Wednesday.
When their engagement was announced last February, it was said they would marry in September.
The wedding, with few details, was reported Wednesday in The Boston Globe and the Boston Herald.
“It was a small ceremony Sunday morning. We really don’t know much about it,” said Susie Bonta, spokeswoman for the Boston Symphony.
The couple reportedly left for a honeymoon outside the country and will live in Boston’s South End.
Lockhart, 36, became conductor of the Boston Pops last year after serving as associate conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the Cincinnati Pops.
His first marriage ended in divorce.
Lin, 33, joined the Boston Symphony Orchestra in 1985 after graduating from Rice University.
She became one of the first violins after serving as assistant concertmaster.
She has served as concertmaster of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and as co-concertmaster of the London Symphony Orchestra while on leaves from the Boston Symphony.
