An article in Wednesday’s Bangor Daily News described public-private partnerships between communities and industries with hazardous material response teams. The James River Corp. in Old Town should have been included as having a formal written agreement with Old Town to have its “hazmat” team respond to any chemical emergency in the city. The company also has authorized the team to respond anywhere in the county if needed.

An Oct. 5 story on the death of Eric Heath, 23, of Glenburn erroneously reported he died in front of a subsidized apartment in Bangor. In fact, 39 Dirigo Drive is part of an apartment complex owned by the University of Maine and managed by the Bangor Housing Authority, but it is not a subsidized housing unit.

An article on Pine Tree Power, which appeared in the Oct. 17 Forest Products Week special advertising supplement, incorrectly attributed some statements to Christopher Hutchins. The company spokesman who made the statements was Charles M. Hutchins.
