PRESQUE ISLE – Becky Tower scored 18 points as the University of Maine-Machias Clippers held off the UM-Presque Isle Owls in the second half for a 59-50 women’s basketball win Friday night.
UMPI trailed 35-21 at the half and cut the lead to six points, but couldn’t get any closer.
Ann-Marie Cochrane added 13 points for UMM.
Stori Shaw scored 14 points and Kelli Dagle added 12 for UMPI.

Glenn Sharp lead the Owls with 15 points, Pierre Michaud chipped in 14, and both Willie Rivera and Jeffrey Joseph added 12.
