Husson College and UMaine-Presque Isle are two of the men’s college basketball teams heading to Gorham for the third annual Hancock Lumber Maine Event tournament this weekend.

The University of New England will get a chance to even the score with the Braves, after a 118-114 double-overtime loss in Sunday’s Paul Bunyan Invitational championship game.

The Knights-Braves game opens up the three-day tournament at 1 p.m. Friday at the University of Southern Maine’s Hill Gymnasium.

UMaine-Farmington will play the Owls at 3 p.m., followed by the 6 p.m. Bowdoin-St. Joseph’s contest, and the USM-Colby game at 8 p.m.

Saturday’s games will be held at 1, 3, 6 and 8 p.m., and the Championship game will be played Sunday at 7 p.m.

St. Joseph’s knocked off Colby College 66-59 a year ago for the title. The Mules earned the inaugural title in 1994 with a 91-72 win over the now-defunct Westbrook College.

Tickets each day are good for all four games, and passes for the entire 12-game tournament are $7.
