Key players: Maine – 5-9 G Cindy Blodgett (24.4 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 2.8 apg, 2.0 spg), 6-4 F Jamie Cassidy (10.8 ppg, 7.0 rpg), 6-4 C Stacey Porrini (6.6 ppg, 6.2 rpg), 6-0 G/F Katie Clark (7.0 ppg), 5-7 G Amy Vachon (3.4 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 4.8 apg); Drexel – 5-11 F LaTasha Rice (16.2 ppg, 7.8 rpg), 5-9 G Kim Koschineg (13.8 ppg), 5-10 C Mikki Miller (10.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 2.3 spg), 5-11 F Jenna Vebrosky (7.5 ppg), 5-9 G Maureen Michaels (6.2 ppg, 3.8 apg).

Outlook: The Black Bears, who held off a late charge in beating Hofstra Thursday night, hope to avoid such a letdown against the Dragons. Drexel is coming off Thursday’s 79-64 home loss to New Hampshire. The Dragons have been slowed by injuries to all-conference senior forward Jen MacNeill (stress fracture, right leg) and senior forward Tiffany Davis (separated left shoulder). The Dragons have allowed 75.5 ppg. Maine is shooting a league-best 43 percent from the field, while Drexel’s opponents have hit on 47 percent of their attempts. Maine’s Achilles’ heel has been turnovers as the Bears are averaging 24 per contest.
