ELLSWORTH — The Next Step, the Domestic Violence Project of Hancock County, needs people willing to open their homes to people needing shelter for one or two nights.

The temporary shelters, called “safe homes,” are for survivors of domestic violence. Training will be provided from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 25, at The Next Step. Call 667-0176 for information.
