AUGUSTA – The Maine Warden Service is advising ice anglers, snowmobilers and outdoor recreationists there are no safe ice surfaces around the state.
Unseasonably warm temperatures and consistent rainfall have conspired to re-open ponds that had been frozen or prevented ice-making altogether. Snowmobilers and anglers are urged to use extreme caution in the days ahead.
