BREWER – Trevor Watt scored a power-play goal at 8:59 of the third period to lift the Brewer Witches to a 2-1 ice hockey victory over Stearns at H.O. Bouchard Arena Saturday.

James Testa added a first-period goal for 6-2 Brewer and Jason Seavey notched two assists. Shawn Murphy made 19 saves on 20 shots.

For Stearns of Millinocket, now 5-3, Matt Lynch scored the lone goal and Jeremy Munoz made 33 saves on 35 shots.

Foxcroft 10, Maranacook 1

At Sawyer Arena in Bangor, Dick Orton had a hat trick and two assists to lead the Foxcroft Academy Ponies to the victory over Maranacook of Readfield.

David Speed had a goal and four assists for the 4-5 Ponies. Mike Lebel had a goal and two assists; Jarrod Jordan and Seth Condon each had a goal and an assist; and Randy Kluj, Travis Phillips, and Seth Sands each scored once. Ben Orton made eight saves on nine shots.

For 0-9 Maranacook, Joe Riopelle scored the goal and Paige Holmes saved 44 of 54 shots.

Biddeford 6, Bangor 1

At Biddeford Ice Arena, Casey Laflamme scored two goals and also had two assists to power Biddeford to the win.

Scott Lavigne added two goals for 3-5 Biddeford while Jeff Beaudoin and Jeff Cyr each had a goal. Andy Lemelin earned the win in the net.

For Bangor, now 3-7, Jared Gordon scored a goal. Richard Laferte took the loss in goal.

John Bapst 1, Old Town 0

At Alfond Arena, Nate Susi beat Indian goalie Jeremy Smith off a feed from David Raczek and Jeremy Todd with 14:32 left in the second period to give the Crusaders a 1-0 victory.

Carl Buffington was a flawless 19 of 19 in net for 6-3 John Bapst.

Smith rejected 26 of 27 for 1-5 Old Town.
