BANGOR – Bangor Christian raced out to a 23-6 first-quarter lead and went on to avenge its only schoolgirl basketball loss of the season with a 59-40 verdict over East Grand of Danforth on Monday.

Lari Sobey sparked the Bangor Christian effort with a game-high 22 points and 11 rebounds. Megan Brewster contributed 12 points and 19 rebounds, while Rachel Sobey scored 10 points.

Megan Amero led East Grand of Danforth with 18 points.

Tricia Carver finished with a game-high 14 points while Davis and Robin Woodward added 12 apiece.
