AUGUSTA – As a cost-cutting measure, the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife has decided to discontinue its public toll-free lines serving five regional headquarters and the Maine Warden Service. The toll-free lines are expected to be reconnected on July 1 of this year.

AUGUSTA – As a cost-cutting measure, the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife has decided to discontinue its public toll-free lines serving five regional headquarters and the Maine Warden Service.

The toll-free lines are expected to be reconnected on July 1 of this year. The statewide number for Operation Game Thief will remaine intact. That number is 1-800-253-7887 or 1-800-ALERT US.

Dates for hunting and fishing are still available 24 hours a day by dialing 287-8003.
