I read an article appearing in the Jan. 24 edition of the Bangor Daily News reporting that some communities, including Bangor, may come out of this winter showing surpluses in their snow removal budgets. Allow me to offer this observation: Bangor will not be one of them.
I can cite, with dates and numerous instances, why I believe this to be the case. What I witnessed on Feb. 13, however, was almost more than I could believe. A city truck was depositing not one but two applications of sand on streets that already looked like dirt roads.
Not to worry! When the city runs out of money I’m sure it won’t hesitate coming to me for more. Bob Kelly Brewer
