Maine Alpine team captures USSA title

MOUNT SNOW, Vt. – The Maine Boys Alpine Ski Team took first place at the 17th annual USSA Eastern High School Alpine Championships.

Slade Knightly of Auburn took second overall in the combined competition. Knightly placed seventh in the giant slalom, and teammate Mike Lavertu finished fifth in the slalom and 27th in the giant slalom.

Team members include: Justin Gibson, Matthew Ferguson, Corydon Albrecht, Ian Reinholt, Seth Werner, Tom Levesque, Kevin Beverage, and Patrick Hawksley.
