Chubbuck holds off Melanson

WISCASSET – Woolwich’s Scott Chubbuck defended his Pro-Stock title as the M.W. Sewell Chevy Camaro drove a clean sweep in the featured event Saturday night at Wiscasset Raceway.

St. Alban’s Peter Melanson finished second while John Phippen of Bar Harbor took third. Richmond’s Casey Nash and John Clark IV of Hallowell rounded out top five.

Skowhegan’s Sprague earns third

At Epping, N.H., Skowhegan’s Drew Sprague took third place in the Junior Dragster division at the New England Dragway on Sunday. Sprague finished behind champion Scott Quigley of Holbrook, Mass. and runner-up Zac BiraMass.
