Glenburn tables action on using cable money

GLENBURN–The local access committee decided at a meeting Thursday night to table action on allowing the school committee to use a portion of $3,000 the town received from Frontier Vision, Glenburn’s cable company.

Michael Dalton, a member of both the local access and school committees, said Friday that because only two committee members and the town manager were present at the meeting it was determined action would be delayed on the decision.

The school committee is hoping to use the money to purchase a video camcorder and a microphone to broadcast live its Wednesday night meetings and to record school activities and sporting events.

Dalton said in the meantime he will price equipment so he can present a detailed proposal at a local access meeting in the near future.
