BANGOR – Bangor starting pitchers limited Caribou batters to nine hits in a Saturday doubleheader while the Rams put up 19 to key a sweep, 14-2 and 16-4.

In the first game, Renee Richardson hit four singles and drove in four runs to pace the Rams’ attack.

Jamie Kenny had two singles and three RBIs while Melanie Deyone (3-0) scattered seven hits, struck out seven batters, and walked none. Amanda Stevens ripped an RBI triple.

For the Vikings, Billie Jo Martin singled three times and Meghan Scott did twice with one RBI.

In the second game, Rachel Kelly allowed just two Caribou singles and picked up her first win of the season for the 4-0 Rams.

Kori Dionne led Bangor with three singles while Brianne Slamin chipped in with two singles and two RBIs.

Kim Landeen and Meaghan Lombard each singled for Caribou’s only hits.

Old Town sweeps

At Old Town, sophomore righthander Tara Drinkwater pitched four innings of one-hit, one-run relief ball, following her 4 1/2-inning one-hitter in the opener, to key Old Town’s sweep, 18-0 and 11-7. 18-11, Presque Isle 0-7

Drinkwater fanned six and walked four in her relief stint after striking out 10 and walking two in her first-game start.

Kalina Cuarisma’s bases-loaded triple and Justine Ferland’s RBI single were the big hits in a seven-run fifth-inning rally that erased a 6-4 deficit in the second game.

Drinkwater aided her own cause with a double and a sacrifice fly.

Tracy Richardson had a single and a sacrifice fly for PI.

In the opener, Danielle Wentworth had three singles and an RBI for Old Town; Cuarisma had two hits and two RBIs; Ferland had a double and three RBIs and Lisa Dolley had a double and two RBIs.

Cara Miller’s fourth-inning single was the Wildcats’ only hit.

At Calais, Jodi Duvall hit two singles and a double and drove in two runs and the Blue Devils took advantage of 16 walks en route to their first win.

Heather Farrell added two singles and earned the win, scattering six hits over seven innings with seven strikeouts.

For Washington Academy, Cassie Cates doubled and singled and Brandi Townsend hit a two-run single.

At Searsport, Sarah Webster fired a no-hitter no lead the Vikings to the victory.

Webster struck out 13 and walked one batter. Jessie Barton had Searsport’s only hit, an RBI double. The Vikings capitalized on 13 walks.

At Lincoln, the Lynx put together a 17-hit attack and Stephani Lowell pitched a one hitter to earn the win.

Abbie Pickering led for the Lynx with a homer, a triple and a single. Lowell had two doubles and a single, Alyson McLaughlin and Angie Hainer each had two singles, Angie Brawn had a triple and double.

Leslie Taylor had the lone hit for Katahdin.

At East Sullivan, Brittany Willey hit two singles and a double and drove in two runs to lead Sumner to the win.

Amber Pinkham added two singles, a triple and an RBI for the Tigers while Danielle Martin slugged a three-run double.

For Lee Academy, Tanya Musherow and Jenny Raymond each hit an RBI single.

Brewer splits

At Brewer, Kristen pitched a two-hitter behind the Witches 12-hit attack to earn a 5-3 win in the opener.

For Brewer, Frey had three singles, Emily Sevigny had two, and Kristy Pluard had a double a single and RBI. Paula Price and Erin Dufour each added a single and RBI.

Nokomis’ Andrea Pelkey had a base hit and Wendy Winslow had a double.

In the second game, Nokomis took an early lead and held off Brewer to win 5-3.

Melissa Coppa had a double and single while Holli Tompkins and Hope Kurro each had two singles to power the Warriors of Newport.

For Brewer, Sevigny had a single, a double, a triple and two RBIs while Pluard added a single and RBI.

At Lincoln, senior righty Leroy Cox fired a two-hitter, striking out 10 and walking three, and batterymate Nick Potts drove in five runs to pace MA to its win.

Carson Shedd’s two-run single in the first inning gave Cox the only runs he was to need.

Shedd had another two-run single in the game while Potts had a two-run homer and two base hits.

Tony Aldrete had a double for the winners while Richard Schmidt’s double and Willie Sleeper’s single were Katahdin’s only hits.

BC sweeps East Grand

At Bangor, Dan Martin had five hits and six RBI in two games as Bangor Christian swept a doubleheader with East Grand.

In the first game, Gabe Perrow and Noah Sargent combined on a one-hitter to pace the Patriots. Martin hit two singles and a triple good for four RBI while Sargent knocked in three runs on two singles.

For East Grand, need name Williams hit a single.

In the second game, Alan Sage hit two doubles and a single to spark Bangor Christian’s nine-hit attack.

Martin added two singles and two RBI and Kevin Schroeher hit two singles.

At Calais, Glen Wood single-handedly led the Washington Academy Raiders of East Machias to the win over the host Blue Devils.

Wood pitched a five-hitter and drove in a run with two singles for the 1-1 Raiders, who scored three runs in the fourth on three walks and a Calais error.

Josh Porter had two singles and an RBI for Calais. Jason Redding doubled.

At East Corinth, Keith Partridge’s two-run single with two out in the bottom of the eighth inning gave the host Central Red Devils the come-from-behind victory.

For the Red Devils, Adam Lawrence started the eighth-inning rally with an RBI double. Partridge had two singles in the game. Adam Salvia struck out eight and allowed one run in 3 1/3 innings of relief.

Calvin Teibeira hit three singles while Mike Mountain had two singles and two RBIs for the Tigers.

At East Sullivan, Eric Dougan’s RBI single and Brad Frye’s sacrifice fly scored the tying and winning runs to cap a 3-run, eighth-inning rally and give host Sumner the win.

Dougan had two singles and three RBIs for the Tigers. Justin Carter had a double, single, and an RBI. Jason Soule (1-0) notched the complete-game victory.

Charlie Worster and Reggie Rice each singled twice for the Lee Academy Pandas. Rice had two RBIs and Worster one.
